I want to learn how to train dogs for task such as helping dog, ie seeing eye dogs, search and rescue. I know nothing about how to look for a school or course and to get into the buisness. Anyone with any info will be a great help! Thank you!

Get in touch with guiding eyes for the blind. They are always looking for people to take their puppies for about a year till they are ready to work. You can probably get more info from them.

Most start out as pet dog obedience trainers and animal behaviorist’s then specialize in service dog skill.

Volunteering at a shelter may provide good references and connections, volunteering at as a puppy walker or puppy raiser for a established service dog group will do the same. This is not a career for the faint of heart, it requires time, dedication, schooling and most of all a love for animals. People skills are also important.

    This should get you started
