I know that you can pay for training courses for BASIC commands, for obedience, ETC., but are there any courses I can take that ONLY focus on the one thing I want to learn about – how to WALK and teach my dog to properly. I have 2 puppies and I don’t want to waste a ton of $ on an “everything” course.
The problem isn’t the pups won’t walk. My labs (I walk them seperate) PULL like no tomorrow! I’m trying to make them walk BESIDE or behind me, on my left, but they think they’re the leader. I keep the leash short and walk at my normal pace, but they don’t get the hint with all my pulling & stopping.
I think my mutt would be outstanding as an obstacle course type dog. I think she’d just absolutly love it. Not sure how to go about this. She’s a seven month old spaniel type border collie/lab mix kind of girl and she’s got the moves. What next? I’d like to give it a try and if she didn’t like it then I wouldn’t force it. But I’m guessing she’d probably enjoy it.
