How do I stop my dog from chewing on the front door?

We just got a 7 year old dog fully housebroken, trained, etc. He has just begun to scratch and bite at the front door while we’re gone. Presumably this is to get the the dog in the condo across from us. When we are home, he doesn’t do it or react to the dog’s barking really at all. Is there a spray or should we put up a gate? Anything anyone’s tried?

How do I housebreak an adult dog adopted from a shelter?

My family adopted a male black Labrador about two months ago. He’s 2 1/2 years old, and we’re pretty sure he’s never been in a home before now. We were told he was picked up by the Humane Society as a stray.

He’s a very clingy dog, who needs to be with someone all the time. He’s had quite a bit of trouble with having accidents in the house. Most of the time it is while we are all gone, but sometimes one of us will be sitting near him and he’ll just get up and go urinate on a chair in the next room. He does this while we are gone, no matter if we’ve just taken him out before leaving.

He doesn’t do this on a regular basis though. There will be days we leave and come back to find that everything is OK, while other times he’s peed on the same footrest or chair as usual.

I suspect he has some degree of seperation anxiety, and we’ve tried all sorts of things to help this. I’m home all day everyday with him, always supervising him. What can we do to break him of this bad habit?

How to stop dog from barking and jumping at the door when someone rings the door bell?

It is very embarrassing when someone comes to the door and the dog jumps or attacks the door growling and barking. I tried to put her in the crate etc. but the next time someone either rings the doorbell or just comes at the door she just attacks the door. Any suggestions?

How do I stop the neighbors dog from constantly barking all the time when they are not home?

When they’re home, it’s all good. But as soon as they leave, it’s non stop bark, bark, bark. I live in an apartment, and complaints to the office have gone unfulfilled. The people are pricks to say the least, and when asked if they might be able to do something about it, they respond “it’s a dog. Thats what they do.”

Any suggestions for this problem? Anything I might be able to buy from a store? I’m willing to try anything at this point.

Oh, I should also mention that I have 2 cats and don’t want to use anything that might freak them out. I’m not sure if dog whistles are heard by cats.

And before someone mentions it, I don’t want to move. This is the sweetest place money can rent.

Thanks in advance.
